Specialized Psychiatric Care, Connected to the Rest of Your Health
Board-certified psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and medication management for adolescents (16+) and adults.
Mental health conditions deserve the same clinical attention as any physical one. At VPMC, psychiatric and behavioral health care is provided by a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health provider who evaluates, diagnoses, and treats a wide range of conditions, working alongside your primary care team so your mental and physical health are managed together rather than as two separate files.
Whether you are seeking help for the first time or have managed a condition for years, you will be met with an honest, unhurried conversation and a treatment plan built around your goals.

Our Approach
Care begins with a thorough evaluation of your history, symptoms, stressors, and goals. From there, treatment may combine medication management with evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and psychoeducation. The aim is not only to manage symptoms but to support steady, long-term improvement in how you feel and function.
For patients already working with a therapist, we coordinate closely so everyone involved in your care is working from the same plan. For patients who need a level of care beyond our outpatient setting, we help connect you to the right specialist or resource.
Mental and Physical Health Are Connected
Untreated anxiety, depression, and chronic stress affect far more than mood. They influence sleep, blood pressure, weight, and your ability to manage other medical conditions. Because our psychiatric care sits inside a primary care practice, your provider can see the full picture and treat accordingly. When your mental health improves, your physical health often follows, and the reverse holds true as well.
