Biography

Joshua Montgomery is a board-certified Physician Assistant who specializes and practices in internal medicine at Virginia Premium Medical Care. Joshua built his clinical foundation at Shenandoah University, where he graduated from the Physician Assistant program and subsequently completed a Doctor of Medical Science degree. Before joining VPMC, Joshua practiced primary care in Tysons, Virginia, and hematology/oncology at the George Washington Medical Faculty Associates, where he cared for patients managing complex, overlapping conditions. Earlier in his career he served as a Public Health Analyst in the Office of the Chief Medical Officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, contributing to national initiatives on pain management, opioid overdose prevention, and the social determinants of health, and he co-authored peer-reviewed research on diabetes, food insecurity, and community-based health programs.

Driven by a profound professional mission, Joshua is deeply committed to a holistic approach that treats the whole person, actively mitigates health inequities, and enhances overall community wellbeing.
